Overview
Launched March 31, 2025, IRCC introduced two new 5‑year pilots offering direct pathways to permanent residence for caregivers in Canada — including Child Care and Home Support streams.

Workers in Canada Stream

Opened March 31, 2025, and already capped for 2025.

Designed for people currently working in Canada, with valid work authorization or maintained status.

Suitable for candidates outside Canada who have job offers and sufficient settlement funds.

🎯 Key Eligibility Criteria (Both Streams)

Job Offer: Full-time, non-seasonal position in child care (NOC 44100/42202) or home support (NOC 44101).

Education: Minimum equivalent of a Canadian high school diploma (foreign credentials require ECA).

Language: CLB/NCLC level 4 in English or French, tested within 2 years.

Work Experience or Training: At least 6 months of relevant experience within the past 3 years, or 6-month related post-secondary training.

Residency Intent: Must plan to live in Canada outside Quebec.
